If you do travel with ENTYVIO, use this checklist to make sure you’re prepared:
- Check with the foreign office of your destination country, to be sure you can bring ENTYVIO into the country, and can bring enough to cover your entire stay: www.international.gc.ca/protocol-protocole/reps.aspx?lang=eng
- Bring a copy of your prescription, which should include the generic name vedolizumab, and trade name ENTYVIO.
- Bring a doctor’s note stating why you are taking this medication. The doctor’s note should be printed on official letterhead, and should be signed.
- If applicable, have contact details of the doctor you will be seeing in your destination country.†
- Store ENTYVIO in an insulated pack with ice packs – ENTYVIO must be kept cold, between 2–8 degrees Celsius.
- Keep the pen or syringe in the outer carton to protect ENTYVIO from light.
- If you’re flying, find out what you can bring on a plane.
- Pack all medications in your carry-on luggage in their original, labelled containers to streamline airport security and customs screening.
- Use the Family/Special Needs security line, because screening officers in these lines are trained to offer additional assistance.
